La Cabrière Country Estate has the best of both worlds. Located right behind the Huguenote Monument in the farmlands that surround Franschhoek, we invite you to relax and connect to the natural beauty South Africa’s Cape Winelands. Close proximity to the village’s social buzz with its many restaurants, shops, cafés and art galleries make us a convenient launching pad to explore the best Franschhoek has to offer.
La Cabrière Country Estate has been carefully designed with unconstrained and naturally flowing spaces, as well as private and exclusive hideouts in mind. This allows guests to withdraw to cozy corners, with a good book. Lounge at the pool, while soaking up the fresh air and stunning views of our gardens, and the majestic mountains
Needless to say, the pool is where most guests converge on hot summer days. We’ve made sure that our pool is big enough to swim some actual laps, and stay fit – or perhaps work off some of the culinary abundance you will most certainly have experienced at our local restaurants and wine estates.
La Cabrière enjoys uninterrupted, panoramic views, giving one the impression that there is nothing but farms and vineyards for miles around. An amazing spectacle, with a myriad of colours that change throughout the day, as the seasons change in the Franschhoek valley
The La Cabriere team is like a family. Lisa, the general manager runs La Cabrière. She will also assist with her wealth of knowledge when it comes to advice on activities in Franschhoek. You will correspond with her prior to your visit and regularly see her during your stay. Kenny our Franschhoek born and bred assistant manager has wonderful stories to tell regarding the history of Franschhoek. Yolanda and Jenny arguably make the best breakfasts in town. Our room attendants ensure your pure cotton bedding and towels are always soft and fresh. Our beautiful gardens are kept in pristine condition by Moby, our gardener.
La Cabrière Country Estate is a place for all seasons. Summers are for sipping crisp Chardonnay at the pool, feet in the water. Winters are for lounging at the fireplace after long walks. No matter the season, spectacular views of the Franschhoek mountains and valley never fail to impress
